1. Nigeria Records 503 New Cases Of COVID-19

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has recorded 503 new cases of coronavirus infections across the states. This was made known by NCDC in a tweet via its official Twitter page;

Ondo – 76

Edo – 54

FCT – 41

Enugu – 37

Rivers – 30

Benue – 24

Osun – 20

Kaduna – 15

Kwara – 13

Abia – 9

Kano – 3

Kebbi – 2

Nasarawa – 2

Bayelsa – 1

Gombe – 1″,

A break down of the total cases across each state was also released.

2. Kwara Government Chief of Staff (COS), Aminu Logun, Dies Of COVID-19

Aminu Logun, the Chief of Staff to Kwara State governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, is dead.

According to the statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, Logun died of coronavirus implications.

The statement read: ” with total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, we wish to announce the passing of the Chief of Staff to the governor of Kwara state, Aminu Adisa Logun”.

“Logun, an industrialist, a public intellectual and an elder statesman, died on Tuesday evening of complications from COVID-19

He only died a few hours after a test of his result returned positive”.

“The entire government and the people of Kwara State have lost an outstanding public servant who diligently served the state at various times, including as a Chief of Staff to the Governor from June 7, 2019, until he returned to his lord”.

“The governor has declared a seven-day mourning in honor of the late Chief of Staff”.

“The Governor commiserates with the family of the late Chief of Staff and entire Ilorin Emirate for this tragic development”.

“We pray the Almighty Allah to grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus and give the family the fortitude to bear the huge loss”.

“Details about his Janazah will be made public by the family and the government in due course”.

3. How I Prophesied Removal Of EFCC Chairman – Primate Ayodele

The leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has claimed that his prophecy on the suspension of Ibrahim Magu as the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has come to pass.

Magu was suspended as the acting chairman of the EFCC by President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday after he spent a night at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) headquarters in Abuja.

This followed a six-hour grilling by a presidential panel, chaired by Justice Ayo Salami, a former president of the Court of Appeal.

In a statement on Tuesday in reaction to the development, Ayodele claimed that he had earlier predicted this in his annual book of prophecy titled “warning to all nations”, which was released in 2019.

He said that he category stated that Magu will not be confirmed as the chairman of the anti-graft agency and that his efforts will not still be appreciated because he will run into major crises.

In his words, “I foresee that EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu, will not be appreciated, he won’t be confirmed as the chairman of the President Buhari, he will face challenges”.

4. Ghana Reopen 600 Nigerian Shops After 6 Months

The Ghanian government has reopened 600 ships belonging to Nigerian traders in Ghana six months after they were locked up.

The shops had been under lock and key since last December following a disagreement with the traders.

The president, National Association of Nigerian Traders, Dr. Ken Ukaoha, disclosed this during a solidarity visit to the Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, in Abuja on Tuesday.

Ukaoha stated that the visit to the NIDCOM was to commend Dabiri Erewa for her “untiring and unrelenting efforts in resolving the lockdown of the Nigerian shoos in Ghana for over six months”.
